I'm not a wildlife photographer but I had a chance to get some animal shots a few weeks ago. In some ways shooting wildlife is very similar to shooting sports which I do quite a bit of. It requires knowledge of the "game," anticipation, and instinct tempered with experience, a fast lens doesn't hurt either.

The osprey photos were taken on the edge of property owned by friends near Shadow Mountain reservoir. You've seen their cabin and environs in previous posts.
