The left coast. Oregon beaches are very different from the east coast middle-Atlantic scene and of course from the southern California coast also. The water is cold, 50 degrees F. more or less. The summer air temp is in the 65-68 degree F. range for the afternoon high and the prevailing 15-20 knot northwest breeze makes it a good kite flying climate.

It's been over two weeks since my last post and I can only plead total exhaustion in the face of the start of another school year. Maybe I'm past it. Anyway this is the first night in two weeks when I've had any energy at all to do anything but sit on the couch and stare at the TV.
