| We stopped at Busselton on our way back to Gelorup after a day of whale-watching (photos to follow) at Augusta and winetasting in the Margaret River area. The jetty is a mile long we were told and we walked as far as was possible; the last 30 yards or so were blocked off. We arrived just before sunset and it was nearly dark by the time we got back. The Indian Ocean was for me another of those mythic places that had very little physical reality in my psyche, but there it is, as far as the eye can see, and all the way to Cape Town. I shot the aerial from the Cessna 172 the day after we walked the jetty. |
