about this site
I have recently become enamored of haiku and the layout of the pages is a sort of an attempt at a visual interpretation of the haiku form. Western haiku are three lines with one line slightly longer than the other two (two syllables longer if you want to put a strict interpretation on it). My basic page design is three photos with one slightly larger than the other two. Conceptually haiku carry a complete thought or experience in a very few words. It is my goal to carry a complete thought or experience with my three photos in much the same fashion. Failing that I'll throw together some photos that seem to fit somehow or other.

posting frequency
I'd love to able to post daily but realistically once or twice a week is going to be a challenge. In fact lately once or twice a month seems to be all I can manage butI'm working on it.

camera equipment
Most of my shots are taken with a Nikon D100. I use two lenses for almost everything, both Nikkors, an f2.8 24-85mm and an f2.8 80-200mm. I infrequently use a Nikkor f3.5 70-300mm. When I need a smaller rig I use a Panasonic Lumix DMC-FZ7.

image handling
All images are processed in Adobe PhotoshopCS 9.0. I try to mess with photos as little as possible but occasionally I can't resist the urge to do a little cropping.
